North Maxwell Creek Road Now Open
Murphy, Texas (September 19, 2008) – The section of North Maxwell Creek Road – between FM 544 and the Kansas City Southern Railroad – that has been closed since April 21, 2008 is now open to traffic.The roadway was improved from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a three-lane concrete roadway with sidewalks in conjunction with the development of Murphy Marketplace. A fall fashion “Have a Heart” kick-off luncheon for the My Funny Valentine Gala benefitting CASA of Collin County is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 26 at the Olea Mediterranean Bistro, located at 5609 Preston Road in Plano.The luncheon event will feature Lisa Rowe of “The Perfect Image” presenting informal modeling and fall fashion styles and trends as well as several exciting raffle items. CASA chairpersons attending the luncheon will be Diane Chester, president of the CASA of Collin County Board of Directors, and board member Nancy Murphy.

Nastia Liukin Welcome Home Parade
The parade will include Nastia and her family, horses, fire engines, the Plano East High School Marching Band, as well as many public officials from North Texas, including Parker Mayor Cordina, and the Parker City Council.
